Prism Synthesis Yellow

PRODUCT OMSCHRIJVING

Great things take time, but our latest creation was worth the wait. The special edition Synthesis SE made a big impression last season, but only 30 pilots were lucky enough to get one. Since then, we've been working hard in the design studio to refine all the things we loved about the custom SE to create a production version that's as spectacular to look at as it is to fly.

From a radical new wing shape concept to a crash-resistant floating CT, new molded APA fittings and a new way to fine-tune your bridle line, the Synthesis lets us play with design features we've been developing in the background for years. There's a lot more that goes into designing sport kites than meets the eye, and we've gone deep down the rabbit hole to refine the smallest details to produce a kite that we can proudly add to our long history of innovative and beautiful sport kites.

The innovative faceted leading edge shape with a 6 degree bend at the ferrules gives it extra drive and precision in the air. On the ground, the straight leading edge sections can bend further than a pre-curved cambered wing, so you can bend them further without breaking.

The sail is carefully handmade from ultralight 1/2 oz ripstop polyester, low-stretch Mylar laminate and aerospace-grade reinforcement materials. It is framed in Dynamic DT15 wrapped, tapered carbon spreaders and 6mm pultruded carbon poles with internal reinforcements at all stress points. The tapered carbon spreaders provide stiffness in the center of the kite where you want it for performance and minimize weight towards the wingtips for fast response. The 6mm pultruded carbon poles perform better than wrapped poles in an accident and are cheaper to replace if you ever crash hard enough to break one.

  • Faceted leading edge with 6 degree ferrule bend combines the benefits of both high and low aspect ratio wings to add lift and precision.
  • More durable because the leading edge bars are kept straight and not pre-curved like traditional cambered wings.
  • Floating center-T provides a flexible spine connection to absorb shock and reduce spine breakage.
  • Adjustable center bridle holes allow you to fine-tune turning radius and control response.
  • New APA leading edge connectors reduce weight, simplify installation and capture bridle lines so the attachments don't get lost in the grass.
  • Adjustable spacers provide precise control over wing rotation to add or reduce lift as the wind changes.
  • Leading edge panels of low-stretch Mylar laminate define the wing's airfoil profile, making the stalls easier to initiate and hold.
  • Lightweight 1/2 oz ripstop polyester tarpaulin minimizes weight and does not stretch or absorb moisture on humid days.
  • Dynamic DT15-wound, tapered carbon lower spreaders provide stiffness in the center of the kite where you want it for performance and minimize weight towards the wingtips for fast response.
  • 6mm pultruded carbon leading edges and spine are sturdier than wrapped poles in the event of an accident and cheaper to replace if ever needed.
  • Vectran reinforced toe cap will not bulge or wear out due to wear and tear.
  • Lightweight full-length cover adds no bulk to your kite bag, snaps on at half-length and includes a pocket for the top spreader so it doesn't get lost.
