The new lightweight 4D turns stunt flying into a party anytime, anywhere—even when nothing else can fly. With a wingspan of 147 cm, it handles well in small spaces. Thanks to its super-light weight of 70 grams, you can easily generate enough lift in very light winds to perform all kinds of graceful stunts. You can even use it indoors by pulling the kite along behind you. The predecessor to the 4D is the 3D, which set the record for indoor kite flying. The 4D has been further improved with more pull and stability. In addition, the wind range is now greater.
Super-light does not have to mean super-fragile. The 4D's modulus frame is made of solid carbon rather than delicate tubes. It is super stiff while simultaneously strong enough to bend into a circle without breaking. This is a kite you can fly in normal winds up to 24 km/h without damaging it.
The 4D is carefully constructed from ultra-light Icarex polyester sailcloth and Mylar laminate, giving it a beautiful sheen in the sun. The kite and the micro-carbon frame are packed in a neat 60 cm long bag that fits in any suitcase. The 4D is quick and easy to assemble; depending on the wind, you can easily adjust the kite's tuning using the knotted presets. Includes 15-meter Spectra™ flying lines, perfect for small spaces and long enough for a wide wind range. If you like flying indoors, you can easily fit an extra set of shorter lines in your kite bag.
In the air, the 4D has the feel and appearance of a much larger kite. The connection to the kite via the lines is balanced and responsive without being twitchy like most small kites. Its light weight and high buoyancy make it forgiving in turbulence and give you time to recover once a gust of wind has passed. For freestyle enthusiasts, the 4D performs numerous acrobatic stunts without feeling heavy like most stunt kites. You don't have to be an expert to have a lot of fun with this kite. The 4D is a perfect addition to your kite bag.
